One of our most cherished values is, "We Are Committed To Serving Our Community". This has long been our value from the beginning of our business. From lessons learned by others, we recognize that our community is the part of the building blocks to our success. It is because of our community that we have prospered as a business and because of our loyal guests it has allowed us to grow. |

We recognize our community as a part of our family. Our management team and team members alike value our community's culture and heritage. Many of us were born in this island paradise and have grown up within our community to have such an appreciation and more importantly an understanding of our roots and foundation.

Because of these understandings Big City Diner is proud and honored to be a part of the community and share its successes. Over the past year Big City Diner has contributed over fifty thousand dollars in cash, certificates, products and supplies to various community organizations. Though we are not always able to provide great dollar amounts to each organization, we evaluate each request and provide whatever may be within our means.

One of the components to our decision making is whether or not our contributions will be directly invested into our community. To every extent possible, it is our wish that one hundred percent of our contributions remain here in the Islands for the benefit of our community. |

In fact, Big City Diner was a proud sponsor to the Kapiolani Children's Miracle Network's inaugural radiothon. During the first week of September 2007, we provided two teams of volunteers to man the phone bank at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children. In addition, within our family of restaurants we raised nearly three thousand dollars by selling paper hot air balloons, collecting donations and contributing one dollar for every order of our soybeans sold during the week. This project alone fostered good commraderie within our team members but more importantly one hundred percent of the proceeds raised remain here in Hawaii.
