Fundraising
Big City Diner enjoys opportunities of serving our community and understands that many schools, organizations and charities require means of fundraising. However, due to the overwhelming amount of requests recieved daily the following guidelines have been established.
OUR FUNDRAISING PROGRAM
Our Fundraising Program is quite simple! Every Tuesday is Community Appreciation at our restaurants. Organizations and groups that are approved are provided with a Master Flyer that they use to make photocopies. The copies are then distributed to as many supporters and people as possible by the group or organization. Supporters should then bring that flyer with them on the specified date, time and Big City Diner location to redeem with their purchase. Presenting the flyer is the only way that Big City Diner will know how to make the necessary percentage contribution to the organization.
The date, time, Big City Diner Locations and percentage contribution is determined and at the discretion of Big City Diner's Corporate Management.
GUIDEINES:
1. A letter signed by a minimum of (2) two authorized representatives of the organization must be submitted on an official letterhead of the organization. The letter shall include pertinent contact information including name, physical address, mailing address, at least (2) two telephone numbers, email address and website address if applicable. You must be specific in your request as to how a fundraiser will benefit your organization and how it will be used. A brief description of your organizations mission is also helpful. REQUESTS MUST BE MADE A MINIMUM OF (8) EIGHT WEEKS IN ADVANCE.
2. Proof of a 501(c)3 staus IS REQUIRED!
3. So that we may have an opportunity to support a larger amount of organziations, Big City Diner attempts to only approve only two to three fundraisers to each organization each year.
4. As a practice, Big City Diner normally does not make financial contributions to organizations except through our fundraising program which based on a percentage rate and the redemption of appropriate flyers.
5. Though it is not necessarily a requirement, Big City Diner does give priority to those organizations and groups who can demonstrate that 100% of proceeds or benefits will remain for the betterment of Hawaii and our communities.
6. While considering donation requests, Big City Diner will evaluate if our support will help to impact one or several of the following categories:
a) Have impact on the growth, development or success of culinary arts, restaurant management or similar in Hawaii.b) Have impact on the lives, education or character development of Hawaii's children to become positive contibutors of society and our community.c) Have impact on the higher education of our island people.d) Have impact on the research, development, awareness or education of health conditions that face a great number of our community; or, help to promote a healthier living lifestyle to prevent the increase of risk for medical and health conditions that face many of our island people.e) Have impact on lowering the rate of Domestic Violence within our community.
7. All requests are considered and there are NO GUARANTEES that every request will be approved. If any request is granted, we are unable to further guarantee any amount or value. Big City Diner Corporate Management shall make all final determinations and will contact those whose request have been approved.
8. Requestors whose requests are approved will be contacted by Big City Diner Corporate Management with further information and details including but not limited to completing any necessary paperwork.
9. Big City Diner may amend, revise or cancel any of the above, its attachments or programs in part or in whole at any time with or without notice and with or without reason.
10. Big City Diner kindly requests no phone calls regarding fundraisers and will not be able to track fundraisers or its status by telephone. Big City Diner will contact those requestors directly if a request has been approved.
