THE BIG DANCE AT BIG CITY DINER WARD
If you were not at Big City Diner Ward on Monday, April 7, 2008 for "THE BIG DANCE" then you missed out on a great party! This year Big City Diner teamed up with KGMB9, Hawaiian 105 KINE and Miller Lite to have an awesome Big Dance Party for the LIVE Championship Game. Those in attendance enjoyed the game LIVE on KGMB9 while having great pupu's and Miller Lite specials.
Guests also got to meet and have fun with Steve Uyehara, Grace Lee and Taizo Braden from the Sunrise on KGMB9 that airs 4:30am to 8:00am Monday to Friday. In fact, Steve got into the spirit and competed for a prize by trying to get a Miller Lite wrist band around his head and Grace Lee tried her best to give a big roar!
In addition, Billy V and Braddah Wade were also on hand from Hawaiian 105 KINE to emcee the event and give out great prizes with the Miller Lite Girls. Everyone in attendance went home with prizes including complimentary certificates to Big City Diner! ANOTHER LAS VEGAS TRIP WINNER!
On Monday, April 7, 2008 Big City Diner with STAR 101.9 gave away yet another trip to Las Vegas sponsored by Miller Lite! Throughout the NCAA Basketball Season guests of Big City Diner that visited the restaurant entered at all five locations. The entries were then combined and thirty were drawn and invited to Big City Diner Waipio for the final drawing during the Men's Championship Game. Congratulations to Mr. Jeffrey Wataoka of Honolulu on winning the trip.
BIG GAME PARTY AT BCD WAIPIO: TRIP FOR 2 TO LAS VEGAS
Sunday, February 3, 2008 Big City Diner Waipio hosted a full house of NFL Superbowl fans for a fun filled event hosted by KCCN FM100's J-Irie. The crowd enjoyed no host Corona Drink Specials and popular Big City Diner pupu's and food! Throughout the game J-Irie drew names and gave away lots of great prizes including Corona Merchandise, KCCN Logo Items, Big City Diner Gift Certificates up to $100 in value plus the Las Vegas Trip for 2 at the California Hotel and Casino sponsored by Vacations Hawaii. Congratulations, to the trip winner Ryan Maeyoshimoto of Mililani. Stay tuned as Big City Diner will be giving more trips away this year as they celebrate their Tenth Anniversary!
2008 HULA BOWL: UH WARRIOR FOOTBALL PLAYERS APPEAR AT BCD
Friday, January 11, 2008 became a highlight for many guests of Big City Diner and fans of the 2007 University of Hawaii Warrior Football Team. As a sponsor of the 2008 Cornerstone Hula Bowl, Big City Diner was able to secure All-Star Warrior Football Players along with other players from around the country for an autograph session at its Waipio location. Though scheduled for 3:30pm, relentless fans of the Warriors began arriving at the restaurant from about 12:30pm to have lunch and line up. The autograph session wrapped up at 5pm since the players needed to be at a banquet by 6pm. The event was covered by nearly every top Hawaii media group including KHNL, KGMB and the Honolulu Advertiser. Big City Diner looks forward to bringing similar events in the future to its restaurants. On Monday, December 17, 2007 during the half time of the NFL Monday Nite Football Game Big City Diner with sponsor Miller Liteinvited (30) entrants to the final drawing for a Super Party in Las Vegas sponsored by Miller Lite. In addition, Big City Diner in support and as a Corporate Partner with the University of Hawaii Athletics Department and Hawaii Warrior Football gave away (2) Sugar Bowl Pupu Parties and (2) Super Bowl Pupu Parties. Congratulations to Mr. Blaine Kagamida of Mililani who won a trip for two to Las Vegas during Super Bowl weekend. While there he and a guest will enjoy a (3) night (4) four day stay at Bally's Resort & Casino, attend private parties by Miller Liteand recieve a $250 American Express Prepaid Card!

The week of September 4th to 8th, 2007 Big City Diner partnered with top rated KSSK Radio and the Kapiolani Children's Miracle Network to raise funds. That week Big City Diner donated $1 for every order of their Famous Soy Beans sold, sold the CMN Hot Air Paper Balloons and collected donations throughout their restaurant chain. We also formed (2) two teams of volunteers to assist in taking calls during the inaugural Radiothon September 6th and donated (3) three meals for volunteers.
